I am changing my original five-star review to one star after learning critical information that was not disclosed during my visit.
When my daughter was seen at Precision Dental (43rd & Ashland), we were told she needed a cap and a baby root canal. However, the dentist did not inform me that she had an active infection, nor was she prescribed any medication to treat it.
After seeking a second opinion from another dentist, I learned that my daughter did have an infection in her mouth—one that went untreated for an additional three days because I was not made aware of it. No antibiotics or treatment plan for the infection were provided at Precision Dental.
While the staff was initially kind and helpful, failing to disclose an infection and failing to treat or prescribe for it is a serious concern—especially when it involves a child’s health and pain.
Parents deserve full transparency, clear explanations, and proper treatment. Unfortunately, that did not happen here.

At the appointment, I was told my daughter needed a baby root canal because the decay was near the nerve. However, I was not informed that she also had multiple additional cavities. Her jaw was visibly swollen, and she reported pain at about a 6 out of 10. No infection was mentioned, no antibiotics were prescribed, and no urgent follow-up instructions were given.
I was also charged for a routine cleaning, yet no documentation or explanation was provided about any of the conditions that were later discovered.
A second dentist evaluated her three days later and immediately identified an active infection and several untreated cavities. The provider explained that these issues had been present for some time and required immediate treatment.
My concern remains the lack of full disclosure, the failure to acknowledge obvious symptoms of infection, and the incomplete documentation during the initial visit. I am providing this update so other parents have the complete context when choosing dental care for their children.
